I grew up in the English countryside and have mostly stayed there since. Cities are marvellous but I lack a sense of direction and spend my time in them lost, admiring the clever little map on my mobile and wishing it meant something to me. Directions that involve turning right after the chicken shaped tree and left past the cows are much easier to follow.
I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Social Psychology and spent a couple of decades in marketing and technical authoring. This resulted in a full, well-rounded desire not to work in an office anymore.
A chance conversation with an app developer about a mutual love of plasticine animation led to me dusting off some stories and illustrations I’d been working on before I got distracted by motherhood. Since I’d written them, interactive picture book apps had come on the scene and offered the opportunity to properly bring the stories to life.
I now spend my life playing with plasticine and writing, while enjoying the fact my daughter is still too young to be properly embarrassed by me yet.
Red Chain Games is a small studio of two, based in the UK. Between us we have a combined 30+ years of Games Industry experience. Our day job involves making golf simulator software for Foresight Sports in San Diego, USA and in our spare time we like to make games. The first game we produced was Fluttabyes, followed by Slide!! and Boxed In. We hope to develop many more of our ideas in the future.
